Our Board Members are all volunteers. They are the leaders of the Foundation. They actively share their expertise and represent the Foundation to their connections and in the community. They are stewards for the Foundation. The Board has two primary focuses: Governance and Development. Governance involves affirming and adhering to the Foundation’s vision and determining a strategy that helps ensure the organization’s financial health and long-term sustainability and growth. Development responsibilities include more than a proscribed amount of money and time to the organization. Development involves identifying and cultivating potential donors, sponsors, and other Board Members.

Sandra Wing Bio
The language of cancer is grim: chemotherapy, radiation, mastectomy, bone marrow transplant, infusions. But cancer survivor, Sandra Wing has introduced a different vocabulary for cancer patients: acupuncture, acupressure, meditation, guided imagery, and therapeutic massage. In 2008, she created the Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation to help remove some of the financial burden so that a cancer patient can experience healing therapy comfort throughout his/her treatment.
Sandra is a proud US Army Veteran and has a BS and MBA degree in business management. She is also certified as a Project Management Professional and has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Sandra is the CEO/President for the Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation.
She is an active community member and also serves as an advisory board member to Hope Hospice.

Wende Amerie Bio
Wende Amerie joined the board in January 2017. She is serving as the foundation’s secretary and Director of the Auction committee. Wende resides in Livermore, CA. She is the Chief Operating Officer for Corporate Edge, a leadership consulting firm located in San Francisco, CA. She has been a volunteer for the organization since 2015 and is grateful to serve her community in this way.
Kim Smith
Treasurer
Kim Smith joined the Sandra J. Wing board in February 2019. She is a financial advisor at Mass Mutual in Walnut Creek. Kim felt led to the Sandra J. Wing Foundation through numerous connections and was inspired to extend her ability to serve through contributing to this worthwhile cause. Her experience with For Profit and Non-Profit organizations provides her the ability to contribute with fresh ideas, contacts, and experience to the board. Kim has had family members, friends, and co-workers impacted by cancer. Kim and her business partner have supported the Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation over the years.
