Ragin Cajun Healing Therapies Foundation EventRagin’ Cajun is the San Francisco East Bay’s Mardi Gras event of the year! Featuring music, dancing, buffet dinner, beads, live auctions, and more on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, CA. Ragin’ Cajun is the annual fundraiser event for the Sandra J Wing Healing Therapies Foundation.

The mission of the Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation is to provide cancer patients, during their treatment period, with financial assistance for complementary healing services.  Complementary and integrative healing therapies include: acupuncture, acupressure, therapeutic massage, deep breathing meditation, and visualization. These healing therapies can provide relief for neuropathy, anxiety, stress, aches, fatigue, nausea and pain.

Ragin Cajun Cancer Fundraiser EventThe foundation is a 100% all volunteer organization. It is established for cancer patients in the Tri-Valley region of the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

Community Volunteers Needed for Upcoming Ragin’ Cajun Event

Smiling ManVolunteers Sought for Sandra J. Wing’s Healing Therapies Annual Fundraiser, taking place at Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, February 11, 2011 The Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation is actively seeking volunteers to help with the planning and execution of the 2011 Ragin’ Cajun, the group’s annual fund raiser which will be held at the Palm Event Center on February 11, 2011.

Funds raised at this event and year round are used to provide funds to Tri-Valley, San Ramon and Danville cancer patients to use toward complementary therapies, including acupuncture, acupressure, therapeutic massage, guided/visual imagery, and/or deep breathing meditation.

Volunteers interested in helping to plan the 2011 event are asked to attend the Ragin’ Cajun Planning meeting, being held Thursday, August 12 at 7 PM in Pleasanton. About The Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation

The Pleasanton-based Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation provides financial aid to cancer patients for complementary healing therapies which are not covered by insurance. These therapies, which complement traditional cancer treatment, can make a huge difference in the quality of life and recovery of cancer patients. The Foundation grew out of local resident Sandra Wing’s own experience battling cancer.

The Foundation is supported by donations to the Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Charitable Fund, a component of the Tri-Valley Community Foundation, a tax-exempt organization.
