The Women’s Cancer Resource Center invites you to join us for an evening with Sandra Steingraber, who will address “Fracking our Bodies: Cancer Prevention in an Age of Extreme Fossil Fuel Extraction.”
Dr. Sandra Steingraber will describe the link between fossil fuels — their extraction, combustion and use as the raw materials for petrochemicals — and cancer. And perhaps most importantly, she will demonstrate how cancer survivors can lead the way to green energy and green chemistry.
This free event will be held on Wednesday, May 16 from 7-8:30 pm at La Peña Cultural Center, 3105 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley.
